I noticed (well, I should — they showed her picture) a story on the front page of the Herald Sun (Australia’s largest circulating daily metro paper) about a Miss Universe Australia finalist who weighs just 42kg.
But jumping to the article, it’s a different story.
The headline says 49kg.
The photo caption says 59kg. I’m sure Miss Universe didn’t just want to put on 10kg or take off 7kg, if her real weight is 49kg!

So is it 42kg, 49kg or 59kg? Me thinks it was a late night editing “whoopsie” that’ll get fixed soon enough! Another interesting stats goof I happened to notice!
It’s sooooo easy to see in someone else’s work, but proof-reading your own… now that’s a different story.
But it still draws a giggle.
